Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity approached Allyn Media in 2007 to assist them in raising their profile as the top-of-mind solution for Dallas’ affordable housing needs. The organization wanted to change the game, and integrate their homes into communities with new homes built by for-profit homebuilders. It was a departure for many of their donors and volunteers, and needed to be messaged for their internal audiences, but also for potential philanthropic fundraising donors, new volunteers and new civic partners.

  • Created a brand platform and identity for their new signature project, Dream Dallas, which focused on major donor gifts to fund entire neighborhoods instead of one house at a time, which has long been the model for Habitat for Humanity.
  • Developed collateral materials to launch and publicize Dream Dallas, and reintroduced Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity to new and old audiences alike.
  • On a community relations front, we set meetings, hosted events, pitched media and made introductions all in an effort to forge relationships between Habitat for Humanity and high-profile business, civic and philanthropic leaders.
  • Created philanthropic fundraising case statements, event invitations, retractable banners, step-and-repeat banners, event and press conference signage, collateral, philanthropic fundraising videos, visual and narrative social media content, awards and more.
  • The $100 million dollar campaign was successful within five years and currently Habitat families pay nearly $2 million annually in property taxes in Dallas County.
