The Callier Center for Communication Disorders, part of the University of Texas at Dallas system and nationally and internationally recognized as a leader in pediatric and adult communication disorders, selected Allyn Media to help re-brand the organization in advance of its 50th anniversary. Our process began with immersing ourselves in the work and history of the organization. Allyn Media then planned and led extensive message development sessions with staff and leadership. We learned that while Callier is recognized within its fields of study, donors and the general public were not aware of its uniquely comprehensive approach to care – treatment, training and research. It was mostly known for its work in cochlear implants – and that work is excellent – but Callier is so much more. From providing over 40,000 clinical services to children and adults, offering intervention services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder to speech and language therapy. We wrote master messages and website copy to help educate and emotionally connect donors and people seeking information about communication disorders, to Callier.

With messaging in hand, Allyn Media began the journey of creating a new logo to represent the Callier Center. We developed numerous design options for a new logo and color palette, working within the brand guidelines of the University of Texas at Dallas system. We created a graphic look and feel for the organization that visually explained what the Callier Center does. The new logo is recognized with an award for outstanding graphic design.
Working with the outstanding Callier staff, Allyn Media concepted and designed its first-ever annual report which would be used as part of an anniversary fundraising campaign. As part of our work, Allyn Media created several concepts for the client to choose from, edited copy, art directed all photo shoots, edited the photography and designed original graphics for the book and handled turnkey production.
